I no longer feel comfortable coming here after everything I've seen and had to experience. I used to work in a car shop and they have you put down your license plates info so they can find your car, something that hasn't changed for a long time so they can find your vehicle. After listening to someone honk a horn 16 times, yes 16. I saw a worker heading out to my car and a women with her head out the window in the complex asking why they have to honk so much? "Its how we find the car" he told her. I didn't think this could be real because their was another review last year that said something similar about constant honking that became so bad they had to eventually move. I spoke to someone about it and was told it would be dealt with but if it's been going on this long then that's not a mess I need nor want to be apart of or be treated like eventually.

I appreciated being taken from your shop to the Temple and then being picked up from the Temple when I was ready to go home. I live on ss so my budget is tight and I was surprised at the cost it was higher than I pay at Jiffy lube but I am sure the quality is better. I will just have to see how to budget this.

Sharon, thank you! We’re glad we could help with the ride and make your visit a little easier. We understand budgeting is important, and we always aim to provide quality and value you can count on. We truly appreciate your trust and are here anytime you need us!

I was busy and had to send my wife in for an alignment on our van before heading out of town. It was last minute and I was having a hard time finding a shop that had an opening. These guys had an opening and were easy to work with. My wife was pleased and felt like she was treated well. I have been in the automotive repair world for a long time and do almost all the work on my vehicles. When I have to use a shop, I am picky about who I work with. I have only heard good things about Oswald Service over the years.

These guys always do a great job! They've worked on a couple of our cars and it's a good experience every time.

Chris and Amber were very helpful in describing what we needed to have fixed on our vehicle. They didn't put any pressure on us to have things fixed. There mechanics are great at diagnostic testing and looking and finding problems other mechanics couldn't find or didn't look for.

I have taken my truck here since I moved to Idaho and they’ve always been on the pricier side but the work always seemed to be good. Most recently one of my calipers seized and I needed some urgent work on the front breaks. I talked to Chris and explained I had also had my dog in for an expensive emergency vet recently and was really not wanting to spend the $1200 I was quoted to get the front brakes (calipers, routers, and pads) replaced. He said there was nothing they could do to make it more cost effective and they had to do both sides for safety. I agreed because I need my truck. My dad looked at their report and told me to call back and ask about them also draining and replacing the fluid. He said it shouldn’t be terribly more expensive and is something I should have done during that service. I called in and spoke to a girl who said the name of the service that included that and seemed confused why that wouldn’t be already done with my specific brake job. She said it’s typically $195 but could add it for $60 extra and was I ok with my new total of $1307. I agreed. Later, when my truck was ready to pick up, Chris called. He said during the job they found some warped brake lines that needed replaced (or something like that) and usually it’s $195 more but he knew about my emergency vet bill and was able to have them fix it already for only $60 more. I was confused because the number was exactly what the girl and I had already agreed to. After I expressed confusion and chis did not change his story I asked him what the total was, wondering if it would be another $60 on top of the $1307. He told me $1307, so clearly it was the same service I had already spoken to the girl about. It felt so gross he brought up something I mentioned about my financial situation to try to take credit for a discount that was already applied. Just nasty behavior and the ick when I basically have to trust them because I don’t have the time or knowledge to work on my own car. And I paid on the high end for service I expected to be honest. I hate liars. I’ll probably still take my truck there but…ew…i don’t want to talk to Chris. I’m only filling out a review because they sent me a link to do so.

I absolutely love Oswalds. They have taken care of many vehicles for me and my family for several years. They are so good about letting you know what they find, and explaining the costs, time it will take, etc. usually they have it finished before the estimated time. Very professional and great communicators!! We have trusted them with at least 5 vehicles over the years.
